REVIEWING I'M FROM RICE SERUM AND CREAM

I want to introduce you to a cruelty-free K-Beauty brand that I have been a fan of for a very long time. I’m From is a cruelty-free skincare brand that creates powerful and effective formulas harnessing the power and benefits from natural ingredients. I’m From promises three things: ingredient transparency, honest materials, and no harmful additives. Their line is free from skin irritants making this K-beauty line the perfect choice for those with sensitive skin.

Today I will be reviewing the I’m From Rice Serum and I’m From Rice Cream.

The I'm from Rice Serum instantly attracted me and got me excited when it came out. The star ingredient in the I’m From Rice Serum is the 73% fermented rice germ extract, rich in micronutrients. The fermentation process breaks down larger molecules, making it easy for these natural extracts to absorb into your skin. The I'm From Rice Serum is formulated with two types of hyaluronic acid for deep moisture, alpha-glucan oligosaccharides, a humectant sugar molecule that gives intense hydration. Additionally formulated with Glutathione, a powerful tripeptide formulated from three amino acids which helps brighten and repair the skin. Niacinamide delivers additional brightening effects and helps balance sebum production. Other notable ingredients like Allantoin, madecassoside and panthenol provide soothing benefits, while squalane adds moisture benefits. Purslane extract contains valuable antioxidants that offer anti-aging benefits.

TEXTURE AND FEEL

The I’m From Rice serum has a unique lightweight gel lotion texture and milky white color. It spreads effortlessly and melts into skin upon application. The serum doesn’t leave a residue or tackiness, the formula is fragrance and alcohol free and overall very minimalistic. The rice serum feels hydrating and soothing when applied to the skin. It worked wonderfully with the other skincare products in my routine and doesn’t cause pilling.

WHAT SKIN TYPE IS THE I'M FROM RICE SERUM BEST FOR?

Those with dry, combination, sensitive skin types will really enjoy this serum. Also those suffering from dehydrated skin will love this, even oily skin types dealing with dehydration as this serum is especially lightweight on the skin and helps balance between moisture and hydration.

MY EXPERIENCE WITH THE RICE SERUM

I have been using the I’m From Rice Serum daily in my morning routine. Initially when I looked at the bottle I was scared this was going to be too heavy for my combination skin. But I was pleasantly surprised at how lightweight it was just dispensing it on my hand, before even applying it on my face! It was very soothing, hydrating and lightweight. I didn’t have to wait too long for it to absorb and it layered nicely with my other skincare products. It didn't cause any dreaded pilling and worked well under makeup. After using this serum for about 4 weeks I  have noticed my skin is brighter and clearer. I liked this serum a lot! I found myself wanting to use it at night as well since the rice serum has a great balance between hydration and moisture.

This is a great choice if you are looking for a serum that will help brighten, hydrate and nourish your skin. The simple and minimalistic formula truly makes this serum a winner.

I'M FROM RICE CREAM

Rice has been known as an ancient Asian Beauty Secret. The I’m From Rice cream is formulated with rice bran extract packed with ceramides to help even skin tone and strengthen the skin barrier preventing future damage. Rice also helps balance oil production and absorbs sebum, helping keep pores stay clean and clear. Two types of hyaluronic acid provide deep hydration to the skin. The cream is free from alcohol, fragrance and irritants really making this cream perfect for the most sensitive of skin.

TEXTURE AND FEEL

So when you first look into the cute little glass jar this cream looks thick, but once applied to the skin it melts to a soft, creamy milk texture that is fast absorbing. It doesn’t feel heavy, oily or tacky on the skin. My skin loved this! I look for moisturizers that deliver deep hydration while still being lightweight and not too thick and heavy for my combination acne-prone skin.

WHAT SKIN TYPE IS THE I'M FROM RICE CREAM BEST FOR?

The I’m From Rice Cream is a great choice for those with sensitive skin as the formula is free from potential ingredients. Dry skin folks will love this cream for its nourishing and hydrating properties, while combination skin types will be surprised at how lightweight it feels despite having such rich ingredients. For oily skin types this might be slightly too nourishing unless you are dealing with oily dehydrated skin.

 

MY EXPERIENCE WITH THE RICE CREAM

Let me start off by saying that when I first opened the cute glass jar the Rice Cream came in, I was worried! I thought this is what pore congestion looked like in a jar. The cream looked thick and nothing about that was appealing to me as my skin is hard to please and breaks out very easily. So fear was definitely there, but this cream really surprised me! Upon first application I could feel the cream melt right into my skin and it didn’t feel heavy or oily. I started off using the cream in my morning routine a week into using the I’m From Rice Serum. It worked nicely with my other skincare products, under makeup and my face was not oily or greasy mid day. The I’m From Rice Cream was a complete win in my book after that! I enjoyed it so much that I started using it in my evening routine as well. It was soothing and worked wonderfully with the active ingredients that are in my night routine. Overall this cream really surprised me and left my skin feeling hydrated, nourished and balanced. 

Honestly, I am surprised more people are not raving about the I’m From Rice Cream! It has such a great minimalistic formula that really delivers! It has won a gold star in my book and it is a great choice for sensitive, dry and combination skin types.
